Psquare and Soundcity Finally Make Peace

Months after Nigerian music station Soundcity got into a messy social media feud with P-square, the two groups finally decided to make peace.

Recall that Peter Okoye took to Twitter last September to reveal that Soundcity censored their songs and refused to play any even after fans’ request. In response, the music station said that they, indeed, banned P-square from their station, and the decision was made after the twins’ manager Jude Okoye allegedly ruined their relationship.
“We have assisted the #PSquare brand, toured with them over Africa at our expense,” the statement said, adding that they gave P-Square “ad-spots for their events / projects. Gave them prime time slots for their videos and included them in our array of Programmes / programming.”
But trouble started after the singing duo were invited to the music station’s event in December 2014, and they insisted on an exorbitant price.
“We reasonably asked, what is the least we can offer?; this was us foregoing the fact that we had invested a lot in #PSquare’s career as music talents / artistes & entertainers,” the statement continued, and said that they received a rude feedback from the group’s manager, asking what Soundcity had done for P-square. Upset, the music station banned P-square songs, leading to the social media beef.
Well, today, the two groups have made peace, and the brothers took to their pages to inform their fans.
