Sultry actress, Stella Damasus has responded to comments by Ghanaian filmmaker Leila Djansi where she referred to Nollywood as Hitler.
In a 2015 interview released online by Tns.ng, she was quoted as comparing Nollywood to the late German dictator, Adolf Hitler.
Her words:
“I don’t think those people, this new crop of film industry people be put under the umbrella of Nollywood, they should be called independent film because a name carries a lot. If you start tagging it Nollywood, every negative connotation that comes with Nollywood…it’s like calling your son Hitler.”
As expected, the filmmaker’s comments have been met with series of backlash from her colleagues.
Nollywood veteran actress Stella Damasus released a video via youtube, telling the Ghanaian to ‘get her facts right’ before making such comments.
